The Chinese company revealed the new Mi Max smartphone, That screen is housed in a metal unibody that measures 7.5mm thick. The size, plus the huge 4,850mAh battery, push the weight to a hefty 203g.
There are three versions in total. The top version has a Snapdragon 652 chipset, 4 gigabyte of RAM and 128 gigabyte storage. There’s a 3 gigabyte/64 gigabyte option as well. The most affordable model uses the Snapdragon 650 instead and has 3 gigabtye of RAM and 32 gigabyte storage.
The Mi Max is one of the first phones to sport Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 software, which sports a new design based on geometric shapes and colors that change according to the context. The Xiaomi Mi Max sports an all-metal body and will be available in Gold, Dark Grey, and Silver colors. The smartphone comes with slim profile of 7.5mm. The new phablet from Xiaomi also provides a fingerprint scanner which is located at the rear panel.
The difference in chipset is two extra Cortex-A72 cores for the processor (for a total of 4x A72 + 4x A53). Both use the new generation Adreno 510 GPU, which should be more than strong enough to drive the 1080p screen. All three versions have a hybrid dual-SIM slot so that you can add more storage.
The new Xiaomi Mi Max runs the newly MIUI 8 (based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow). The fingerprint sensor on the back for extra security.
The Xiaomi Mi Max sports a 16 MP rear camera , LED flash and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). There is a 5 MP front camera also on board with 85° wide-angle view, and a f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone sports an infrared emitter to act as a universal remote control, apart from an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope.
