LG Action Cam LTE Camera Equipped With 1/2.3-Inch 12.3MP Snapper

LG recently launched an active lifestyle camera named LG Action CAM, that has support for live streaming over 4G. It comes out with LTE connectivity, first action camera of its kind to be available globally.

The device is coated in rubber, which makes it easy to operate and hold. There are two buttons, which are straightforward, one to record and other one to broadcast to YouTube Live. Alternatively, you can manage the whole business of taking photos and recording video through a mobile app.

You will have three options for recording resolution and frame rate:

HD: 1,280×720 (60 fps)
4K: 2,560×1,440 (30 fps)
Full HD: 1,920×1,080 (120 fps)

It is IP67 certified, hence it is completely dust proof and can be immersed in up to 1 meter of water (up to 30 minutes). The company will also launch a completely waterproof case in the 3rd quarter, which will enable the users to shoot underwater. It is 77.9 mm thick and weighs 95 grams only.

LG Action Cam LTE also has an optional mount, making it possible to attach with helmets, bicycles, cars and other fast moving objects. It has 1400 mAh battery which offers about 4 hours of Full HD Recording.

It has 2 gigabyte RAM and 4 gigabyte ROM (OS only) and houses MicroSD card slot that allows expansion up to 2 terabyte. The camera offers connectivity options like 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB Type-C 2.0, Bluetooth V4.1 etc.

The LG Action CAM LTE comes in Grey color option. It’ll launch in South Korea in June 2016 followed by key global of North America and Europe. Carrier and Pricing details will be available at the time of official launch.
